Uses in the Classroom:Students will use digital storytelling to plan, design, develop, and execute a story with a beginning, middle and end.  New hire Nurses who attend class to learn to effectively use the Electronic Medical Record at the Hospital could create a digital storytelling using Movie Maker. The students would work in small groups, gather aapropriate pictures from the internet, and screen shots from the Cerner train domain to tell a story about the appropriate steps to admitting and completing the patient admission history.
Issues to Consider: For this project it will be important to consider the dynamics of the group. Some student may be more capable of using this technology then others. I would also have to make sure the organization approves uploading these videos to YouTube as a place to view students work. If not I would consider having a secured web page through Health-Quest to post the students videos.
