Assignment: Gliffy Mind Mapping, Walter Elias "Walt" Disney
Uses in the Classroom: This could really be used for the Education Department
to organize a process. Every aspect of the Electronic medical Record involves a
process for the medical staff in order to incorporate patient care.
Issues to Consider: The tool is straight forward once you learn how to
utilize it. We would need to check with the security department to load the
software.

Assignment Title: Image Editing
Uses in the Classroom: Once a month our IT Learning Service Department pushes out "New Releases" or new functionality for our Electronic Medical Record for staff. The staff that we usually need to reach are the Providers and Nursing and since there is such a large audience, it is nearly impossible to reach each person. We currently are creating Job Aids that we push out by rounding, and by sharing with Leadership via email or in-services. Using Photoshop to change the images in order to make certain content on the screen shots stand out would be especially beneficial. Staff is especially drawn to the screen shots, and not so much the steps written on the job aids. we could crop information on the screenshot not as valuable, change the screen shot to black and white and add color to the places on the screenshot we are trying to make stand out. Therefore, creating some of our images in Photoshop will help get the new information to the staff. We are also looking to have the "New Releases" incorporated into the new LMS going live next month. Photo Shop would again help to create images that would help get the points across to the staff. We could use the animation tool as well when creating the content to make the presentation more interactive and eye catching.
Issues to Consider: Most of the IT Learning Services Department does not know how to use Photo Shop. We will also need to share our license for the software among our department.
